This builder exceeded all my expectations and consistently provided services above and beyond those contracted. My property was located in an Historic District that was listed as such by both the National and Local Historical Registries. To demolish the existing structure and build a new dwelling involved a year and a half of convoluted, expensive processes that at one time had us interfacing with 7 different committees/departments within the NOLA City Hall! Guidry Construction was very knowledgeable and experienced. GC's attitude was very relaxed which put us at ease with this being our first new construction. Overall project was 2 months late but that was due to a combination of GC and us. Budget was reasonable and was met and GC worked well with us in regards to our plumbing contractor request and the make of our 2 AC / Heating units. In hindsight, we wish we would have utilized Guidry Construction for the architectural drawings as well as the actual construction. Ourselves and GC made several slight changes to the original drawings that could have been potentially avoided if we utilized GC from the very beginning of the design phase. Unfortunately, I hired them during s really busy time and they in turn hired help, which didn't live up to their reputation. I would rehire them and actually continued to refer them to friends who are thinking of building a home. However, should they have to hire help (additonal project managers) due to the amount of workload, I'd have to reevaluate my decision. They also give a finders fee for referrals which is nice.
